Competitor Profile – Christopher Christensen

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

The first entry in what I hope will be a series of competitor profiles, I’d like to present Christopher Christensen. Christopher has been in all 3 American Ninja Warriors to date, and is known in the competitor community as a passionate and super-helpful guy. When I was considering applying to American Ninja Warrior 2 a couple of years ago, Christopher was one of the first guys on the bulletin boards to really encourage me and go out of his way to answer questions. A really great guy and a determined competitor who gets a lot out of his pursuit to compete.

Please click LIKE if you like the concept of a series of competitor interview profiles and would enjoy seeing more interviews like this one.

American Ninja Warrior 3 Begins Airing

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

The new season of American Ninja Warrior starts airing tonight, Sunday July 31st, on G4 at 6 pm Pacific / 9 pm Eastern. This is American Ninja Warrior 3 that I competed in at Venice Beach this past May. I doubt my run will be shown, but regardless I’m still tuning in to root hard for my fellow competitors and some good buddies in particular as they pursue total victory in the world’s toughest obstacle course competition!

Attack of the Show ANW3 Preview

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Here’s a good segment that aired on Attack of the Show about American Ninja Warrior 3 that starts airing this Sunday. Particularly note the interview with Tre Sussy Vaughn, the fastest competitor in the opening round of American Ninja Warrior 2, as he talks about the slippery-ass quadruple steps and then they show the clip of him falling on it. His experience mirrors my own which you can read about in my “Death by Wetuple Steps” entry. I was surprised that they featured this “uneven” obstacle from the competitive standpoint, I thought they’d pretend the steps were so tough that great competitors like Tre (who is in a totally different league from me) would fall on it. Tune in to ANW3 to see a few other top guys fall in the same place, as well as other competitors dial in some amazing performances.

My Submission Video

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

With the video submission deadline around the corner, I was finally able to complete and edit my submission video. The opening introductory sequence where I talk about myself for like 30 seconds is kind of dark, just had to hastily shoot it this morning, but I think the rest of it is pretty good video quality. My goal was to demonstrate that I had the overall skills and ability on specific obstacles to be a serious competitor. Please let me know what you think!
